#70417 - Jacob & Erik - where's the evidence? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Jacob, Yes, RS422 is specified for upto 10 receivers - but is it specified for multiple transmitters? This issue is discussed in the following article: http://www.arcelect.com/RS485_info_Tutorial.htm Erik, read this article and tell me where I've gone wrong here. Personally I've never designed a '4 wire 485' circuit as I can't see it's advantages - but my issue is that it was suggested that I was not telling the truth in regards to the existance of '4 wire rs485' whether or not it was a 'standard' is not the argument. My point is that there is equipment out there that implements the so called '4 wire rs485'. I did a search on '4 wire rs485' and came up with many hits so I know I'm not dreaming. Can anybody come up with some hard evidence that says the rs485 standard does not support a 4 wire variant? |
