http://www.national.com/an/AN/AN-1031.pdf :TIA/EIA-422-B Overview clearly states "A RS-422 driver can drive up to ten unit loads" Whilst I agree that 4 wire RS485 is not kosher 485 it is nevertheless bandied about and there are production devices that support '4 wire 485'. If I gave you evidence of such items would that change your stance? I never said "nobody name their product "4 wire RS485" I stated "there is no such thing as 4 wire RS485". If you buy a Harley and add two wheels, is it still a motorbike? Erik |
