#73404 - higher accuracy? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
you claim that if you make a RTC with software you will have higher accuracy, then why does software calibration exists? the tutorial concludes exactly the opposite since the crystals are not the same, temperature, etc.
i would think a software RTC as the last choise if i don't need that much accurancy, or if you can't find a RTC IC disadvantage of RTC: you use the timers, not very accurate there is a tutorial of software RTC in http://www.8052.com/tutrtc.phtml Important: read the conclusion in the tutorial |
