One more thing. In your photo it looks like the copper is still coated with etch resist. If so be sure to scrub it off before you try to solder to the board. Steel wool will work well. The GC instructions tell you not to use an S.O.S. pad (steel wool impregnated with soap), but I've never had a problem as long as the soap is fully rinsed away before soldering.
