#75616 - RE: PCB - first real attempt Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Actually I'm using a computerized engraving machine so I don't do any of these things like lowering the bit or moving the board manually (unless I really want to, and even then I use a turnwheel with optical encoder to do so, with one "notch" equal to 0.01mm movement in choosen direction, x,y or z.). The problem though is that the machine came with really awful software more suited for kids to play at school making door tags or keychain toys, than any professional work. I got some really professional software to cooperate with the machine, but the cooperation is at best dodgy. (tool movement speed settable with resolution of 1mm/s where 0.1mm/s would be a safe speed, sometimes the cooperation fails, the drill goes really fast 2-3mm into the workpiece, snapping off immediately etc.) The problem is in software; the settings from the original software work flawlessly, so what if you are forced to use a dumbed down interface that won't let you choose a single-pass path for the tool, contour or drilling point. I hope I'll get over that though. I will -have- to get the toner transfer method working though, even if I can make 0.2mm trace easily, I still can't make a gap smalled than 0.5mm. Not enough for LQFP... |
