One more thing, just a tip really. I noticed that you didn't allow for any thermal relief on those pins which connect to your plane. You just let the copper fill right up to the hole. This is going to make those pins very hard to solder. The plane is, in effect, a huge heat sink, and instead of heating up a single pad you're going to be heating the whole plane. If you etch out a ring around the pad that is to be connected to the plane, and then lay tracks to form "spokes" connecting the pad to the plane, it will be dramatically easier to solder. Depending on how far around the pad the plane encloses, you can put in two, three or four spokes on the quadrants of the pad. This becomes particularly important (critically important) if you are laying out an inner layer, or anytime your board is to be machine soldered. |
