#75506 - It is time to take a look with the scope Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hallo Marty,
after all this guessing and toying arround with everything, I think the time has come to take a look at the various signals by the help of a digital storage scope, providing two channel inputs. Check out the signal pulse widths and the correlation of signals to each other in terms of setup times and hold times. For this purpose, try to write only single instructions, which are continuously repeated. Check, that your damn micro is producing these wished signals. Check these signals with actual datasheet of your LCD controller. By this you will surely find out, where the bug is!!! Do also have a look at the shape of signals: Are the edges steep and clean, is there any ringing, etc. etc. Test this by the help of a low capacitance probe. There must be a very simple reason, why your LCD does not respond to your C-code! Again, make ultra small steps, and check, that micro and LCD are doing what they are intended to do, at each single step!!! Kai |
