As I've said here before, You should definitely read this one first, as it specifically sets out to address errors & misconceptions which appeared in earlier App Notes, and other published & unpublished sources! http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=75994 http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=19045 Once you've read it, you will know how to design a 1-Wire driver for a large network - even 300m or more! The "dongle" that just plugs into a PC's COM port is definitely not suitable for driving long distances - "Table-Top Network" is the term Dallas use for these! |
