#79271 - Determining qualified scorers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have a suggestion: before scoring any code the scorer would have to pass a coding test of some sort to ensure they are qualified to pass judgement. Thinking about it a similar approach would be a good idea for the post scoring system as well. I actually thought about this but the problem I ran into is how to determine whether someone is qualified to pass judgement on a contribution? If someone can propose a solution to this I'd be anxious to hear it. It seems that those that are qualified to pass judgement on the code would probably be the same people that wouldn't even need the code library to start with so you'd end up with no-one assigning scores to the contributions. A download counter makes sense and I'll try to implement it. It's not as easy as it might seem though. The ability to leave comments about each code contribution is also something I thought about but decided not to do just to keep it simple. But I can certainly add that. Presumably a comment would be just that:a short comment, not a full message? Would, say, 200 characters per comment be appropriate? Regards, Craig Steiner 8052.com Webmaster |
