I don't think so - it'll show that somebody has some knowledge and/or some ability, which has to be better than the current situation.
The answers in any thread do get "censored" if they are wrong or a possibly better alternative exist.

My worry here is that it will be 10 times more difficult to make the uninitiated accept other approaches to solving a problem if some bookworm, with 5 stars and "test passed" and who knows what, happens to be wrong or suggest a non-ultimate solution.
