erik fo you he HCT devices are 5V decices, not specified for operation below 4.5V.
So, instead of using HC, which would always work, they state "NOTE! THIS CIRCUIT MAY NOT WORK WITH ALL 74HCT74 DEVICES" I got the reply from dave for this In fact, many 74HCT devices will work just fine down to 1.5 volts. They may not have the speed but their logic functions perfectly. |
