Hi Erik,
Thank you very much for mailing this small schematic showing how to resolve both the problem 1. Startup contention. 2. Startup errorneous ISP entry. 
Upon startup both RECV and DISBL are high for 500ms period thus /RE and DE both are disabled during this period and contention as well as ISP problems are taken care of. The micro program must set DISBL to '0'. and RECV when high it is receiving and when set to low it is sending. Thanks & Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
