If you don't have a serial port (RS-232) then how are you communicating with the development board? Has Atmel added a USB interface to their development board?
yeah, the only interface that seems to come on the board is a USB. In fact, atmel recommends a RS-232 to USB converter to communicate with the board. I did have a REALLY hard time getting the USB to work with the board and my OS (win XP). I'd actually prefer to do everything in Linux but there isn't any immediate USB support under Linux, only RS-232. Once I emailed Atmel, they supplied me with the LATEST version of FLIP (2.4.1), as opposed to the 2.4.0 supplied on their website.
