#83823 - Another approach Responding to: ???'s previous message |
How about this: If a thread receives 2 votes for "Incomplete/Vague Question" then the thread is automatically closed. The author of the thread will be sent an email saying that more information is needed to answer the question. Once a thread is closed due to a "vague question" only the original author will be able to post to that thread (so more information can be provided). Once the original author posts to the closed thread then the thread will automatically be re-opened and everyone can respond to answer the question.
This will prevent dozens of useless messages speculating on what the question is and hopefully will reduce the number of people that are somehow mocking the person asking the question. It will also allow the thread to be re-opened once additional information is provided. Would this work? Regards, Craig Steiner 8052.com Webmaster |
