Dear Forum Members,
My welding controllers having [ P89V51RD2 & P89C668 as their heart ] have network feature for communicating with central PC. From PC the welding parameters can be set and status of the machines can be monitored. At present I am using RS485 for this network feature. I have seen some designs use Wireless communications for such networking. There are several readymade RF modules available at RS India and even local market. Most of them are 433MHz also known as ISM [ Industrila Scientific and Medical ] band. I am also planning to use such modules in my product. Today, I checked Indian National Frequecy Allocation Plan available here http://www.dotindia.com/wpcc/NFAP/contents.htm and was surprised to see that 433MHz is not intended to be used without licence. I did a search on the 8052.com forum for 433MHz and got good number of posts. After reading them I came to know that several Indian members have used such 433MHz modules in their product. I want to know is it legal to use these modules in India. What must be the max transmission power and/or range with such application to keep them legal. Thanks & Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
