#84581 - A little story... Responding to: ???'s previous message |

As far as I know although 433MHz operations are not legal but if you use very small power transmitters probably no regulatory bodies will notice it and that way one can continue operating, But its not legal thats sure. Once I heard a nice and true story: A military application was intended to use new transmitter technology running at 433MHz. Unfortunately, in the same country garage door openers already worked at the same frequency. So, when the military started the new transmitter thousands of people couldn't open their garages in the morning... What I want to say with this is: It can be an idea to use transmitter with very low power, so that nobody will notice it. But if someone already uses a strong transmitter, then it can heavily interfere with your application! So, in any case you should find out, whether 433MHz is already used in your country, who uses it and what intensities are involved. Here in Germany 433MHz can no longer be used in certain applications because this frequency is used by too many people. We then need to use different carrier frequencies. In any case, you should implement a stable transmission algorithm being very well weaponed against data loss... Kai |
