Thanks a lot for your reply. In India we have DOT [ Department of Telecommunication ] for frequecy allocations etc. I tried mailing DOT but the mail bounced back, thats not an uncommon thing with government e-mail ID's. :-) As far as I know although 433MHz operations are not legal but if you use very small power transmitters probably no regulatory bodies will notice it and that way one can continue operating, But its not legal thats sure.
