a 64MB CF card can easily hold linux system , windows CE or so. i saw a 256MB one for around 50$.
thus , you can "boot" the pc right away. also - linux can run in "RAM-MODE" , thus , you dont need shut-down proccess as the operation system won't do any paging and won't leave stuff opened , so you can also turn off the machine without waiting for a proper shutdown. mini-itx for 50$? how come? also , they come without a CPU , and adding a CPU will require fan (as normal CPUs does. though i can underclock it so it won't get warm...). the biggest problem is - most of them support only TFT , not CSTN... |
