#87169 - Now I say: HUH
Responding to: ???'s previous message
It is good to read posts from an insider, who has access to the ultimate sources of information.
However, Bill's answer raised a few more question:
1. Can you please be specific, which part are you talking about?
2. I thought, the "bible" Erik likes to refer to, is valid for all Philips 8051 derivative. It states, that while performing a MOVX @DPTR, the stong pullup of P2 is on all the time. However, you mention, it is on for 2 clocks. Can you please explain it?
3.You mention, that when switching back to P2, if switching from 0 to 1, strong pullup is activated. I assume, this is only for 2 oscillator clocks - am I right?
4. It is strange to me that at the switchback from address to P2 SFR the strong pullup is activated only when the address bit was 0 (and P2 SFR is 1 of course). What is the reason of not doing so if the address was 1?
5. Although you did not specify it, I assume you are talking about MOVX @DPTR. I originally hd a question, if in case of MOVX @Ri are or are not the P2 strong pullups activated. The "bible" states nothing for this case. Can you please comment on this?
