No, the ONLY method. First of all - insufficient decoupling is extremely poor design. Not decoupling ALL Vcc/Gnd points is buying a pound of trouble while saving a few pennies. Anyhow, I add a few tantalums in parallel with the caps if my uC drives anything other than CMOS inputs. I would never drive "anything other than CMOS inputs" if the output is significant; however I consider an indicator LED connected to a port pin acceptable. Erik |
