It is a useful demonstration of using an 8051 as a COM2SPI converter!
That is on-topic Then, why is it titled "AVR programmer" which is off-topic If I make a post "how to fix bicycle flats" and a careful investigation of the post will reveal (what is not even mentioned in the post) that the technique could be useful for soldering a '51 to a PCB, should I expect all participants to fully investigate my post to see if anything other than "how to fix bicycle flats" could be extracted before voting the post off-topic?.
