The problem is how the convince the artwork person on the importance of this?
This is a true episode:
A company I know farmed a PCB layout out to the "artwork person" with the lowest bid. It came back with all the chip decoupling caps arranged in a neat row at the topleft corner of the board. That "artwork person" needed more than "convincing" to produce workable layouts. So many have not learned that two ends of a trace/wire is not the same.
