#89108 - bible time
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hello, i'm new on this board.

I've a very very basic question about the 8051 that i don't understand.

You can ask "very very basic questions" here one at a time or you can find most of the answers in "the bible"

Asking everything here will get you going in a couple of months, familiarizing yourself with "the bible" should do it in a day or so.

I've developed some little applications on my evaluation kit board in C language, but i never understand how the micro know that my software is not inside but outside...
That is determined by the state of the !EA pin which is explained in excruciating detail in "the bible".

Just curious, when you have 64k in the chip, why are you working with an external code memory.?

Erik
