Sorry, no comments on program, I don't C.
But if you want to know the size/position of binary code given the hexfile, try the hexmap utility: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=88966 .
If fill up the 2kB code space, youcan still change to AT89C4051, with twice so many code FLASH=4kB, 100% compatible otherwise.
