It's all about discipline. Commenting and careful rereading is a part of it.
reading in your e-mail that you are C illiterate explain a lot. The "more instruction cycles than you think" is much more widespread among Pascal and C users. Self-perfect programming tools are a myth. True, but something to stride towards. If you can "protect against yourself" without making that an excuse for inefficient code why not do do. Erik |
