IMHO this wont be too critical in most cases.

Is that a valid design criteria. Should we code by the rule "if it "wont be too critical in most cases", just slap the code together?.
I will bet you 100 to 1 that if you do so, you will suddenly (most probably in outer mongolia) find that something IS "too critical".
