I don't know where to search for commercial ones around so I'll try to find some place to grab a Camera Xenon flash , i think it should be cheap (under 1$) if i try the camera repair shops.thanks for the idea.

about the Converter , i'm searching for it on google ,i have wound some transformers before,so winding a new one shouldn't be a problem.

My choice would be an AVR (hiss hiss!) as I've done code for a tacho already (in C and asm).


Seems that i'm going to use an AVR for this.which derrivative you've used. ( don't hit me for OT ;) )

Any thoughts on spark detection cicuit ?
