#99459 - if you have 2 usb ports, why not supply
Responding to: ???'s previous message
If you have 2 usb ports, why not supply the converter from the othet USb port? An USB port is supposed to supply 500mA at 5V.
Beware of the USB-232 converters, several posts have appeared in various places "brand x does not work with Flash magic, brand y does"

Now a days laptops dont have serial ports I will be using a USB to Serial Converter for programming.

There is a dead simple way to isolate then - unplug the laptop from the mains during programming :)
