Erik, ehm, wasn't that you who insisted that testing proves nothing? Why should be electronic and/or mechanical parts design different from software design?

PS. I have seen the "disclaimer" in milder form elsewhere, stating that using the part in life supporting equipment etc. is subject to manufacturers approval.
