Nevertheless there might be qualities of the mechanical parts which cannot be discovered easily by "testing" (such as hitting by a hammer - or more sophisticatedly putting it into a hydraulic press) yet they can prove be critical or fatal when used in life supporting equipment; e.g. hidden defects in material, chemical residuals.
