#103066 - Smoking! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Most of my CRT monitors have micros in them - they don't seem to worry about the electromagnetic fields of which there are a few. The critical issue is circuit layout - if you have loops of wire - then they're going to pick up stray fields. As for opto-isolation - how do you propose to get the opto linear? I dare say it will cause more problems than it would solve. If you use correctly rated resistors and lay the circuit out correctly (as in keep the high voltage side away from the low voltage side), it has a fair chance of working as you intend without the need for opto couplers. I had more problems with electromagnetic coupling in my Kiss copy light guitar! |
