Also worth mentioning is what its being used for. The marx generator it is powering is outputting 8" sparks. While normally, this shouldn't feed back into the 5vdc side for the micro, one never knows.
I've placed caps here and there, along with some varistors and even a safety gap before it hits the main board. |
