Responding to: ???'s previous message
thanks erik for your suggestions,

If you want to make it "industrial strength" let the tacho amplifier have differential outputs and feed them to a differential input receiver easily accomplished using RS482 chips

I can not find anything on RS482 chip, no data sheet, no application notes, I have searched on google and different datasheet sites but all in vain, could you please pass some details, where shall i look for datasheet?

Did you have a look at signal coming from magnetic pulse generator?

I wish I had a oscilloscope, I am sorry I can't do that as company is very small and does not have facility of oscilloscope, I know some of you will say that okay thats it go and buy one but its not that simple so I have to work without one atleast for this project.

Does it meet input voltage requirements?

I have used 74HC244 at the output of channel A of magnetic pulse generator as output voltage is only 0.4V.

Inductive sensors often give signals which drastically change in amplitude. How do you handle this?

I have never used one before and thats why I am here for, to ask for suggestions and advise.

What about using a Hall-sensor?

This motor has encoder attached to it already so i am stuck with using it, i would definately try other solutions but unfortunately for this one I have to use magnetic pulse generator.

I really appreciate ur time and thoughts on this topic.

I hope I will get more feedback from forum.

Regards
James
