Wise suggestions, but up to now, we are only guessing, guessing, guessing. We don't know the type of inductive sensor, the output configuration (push-pull, open collector, analog output, or whatsoever). We don't know the amplitude, whether there's ripple and resonances superimposed to the signal, and and and.
Without having a look with a scope and knowing how his inductive sensor works everything we do isn't more than stiring the fog!
