I agree with Olaf and Cory. Unless you are talking about a specific software problem, like a simulator or debugger, then the stronger your electronics and engineering background the better. CS graduates are a complete waste of time in the embedded world, obsessed with data structures and the latest buzz word technology at the expense of real skill in the low level stuff that's critical in high speed applications.
