#10954 - RE: Guys, kindly listen to me carefully! |
Hi all.
I basically wanted us all to highlight the areas where novice should work hard upon targeting to become good 8051 programers. I agree of course a stronger EE background is a conrete place to stand on firmly. But not every one now entering embeded world has had an oppotunity to do EE, like wise not every one also had an opportunity to do CS. Most of us perhaps had never an opportunity to do either. They just happened to be around (from their hobby) and want to stay up on their feet. I had tried this subject long ago, but again unfortunately it seems to end up with a "Debate" on HW and SW or EE and CS :-( No point of debating. Of course no one can deny the significance of both in their own areas of application. What I wanted from this posting is a guidline from Gurus to those who are neither EE nor CS, that how can they improve themselves in this field, helping them to seek jobs eventually in this. Also I wanted to know something from commercial aspect that what are the oppotunities for 8051/embeded programers in the world. What is expected from them. [Is it worth a place to endeavour. ] etc.etc.etc. I am of the view that a good understanding of Digtial logic, and ability to Decipher the data sheets of chips / semiconductors you are going to drive from your code in 8051. More you study the better it is. There is less likely the requirement of hard core analog or RF knowledge. Simon |
