#115645 - I think this one has been missed Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I do not totally recall all that has been posted here, but I think one has been missed:
Differential communication! I am not talking about the unbalanced differential (gnd and signal) which in my book is not 'differential' but simgle ended. I have had success in applications where e.g. an electronic high/low was to be sensed with using a RS485 driver to convert the signal to differential. A properly selected RS485 chip can handle enormous amounts of common mode noise, if even more noise has to be handled there are floating RS485 drivers/receivers available. DO NOTE: I am NOT talking about 'convering to communication' I just connect the switch to the input of a 485 driver and use a 485 receiver at the other end. for Analog signals there is a plethora of differential solutions as well.
