#115673 - High Tolerant Input Pins tvs, otpto, |
I have a device that has a wiring harness with 110VAC and 0-5V wired next to each other. The 110VAC are motors and 5V are limit switches to the motors. The problem is the machine can not be rewired and the inputs are failing. I believe mostly from the noise from the AC lines. I would like to develop a better input circuit pin that is highly tolerant of this AC noise/crosstalk.
Right now, I have transzorbs on the each pin however I am still receiving failures. I believe part of the problem is the transzorb I used SMAJ5.0CA-13 only provides 5.0Vrwm of reverse standoff voltage protection. Would using a higher transzorb such as SMAJ85(C)A with 85Vrwm help my situation. Beside changing the transzorb, I would like to put addition protection to improve reliability such as opto-isolation and a RC circuit. I have couple of different concepts circuits and any input would be appreciated. Suggestion on changing, add, deleting, or relocating components would help. A PDF of the circuit is available at Here |
