OK, everybody shy, so I start :-)

(TL)7705

    + widely available, multiple second sources
    + ultracheap ($0.50 per 1pc)
    + has reset (pushbutton) input
    + reset duration can be adjusted by a capacitor
    + output both polarities, both OC

    * comes both in DIP (good for easy prototyping) and SMD
    * just reset generator, no WD etc.
    * comes also in other voltages
    * resets on short spikes (internally it uses a thyristor)
    * quite old design

    - undefined output (usually "releases" reset) at VCC below some 2.5V (see datasheet)
    - needs too many external parts (at least 2 capacitors)

    ! don't use an electrolythic capacitor at the voltage reference output, when it dries up (develops a leak) the reset starts to behave "strangely"
