It is hard to properly quantify noise immunity of both reset/supervisor, and mcu, methink. First, please don't start a new thread. Now, I cannot refer to posts made in the other thread... Noise immunity is not only meant refering to the unwanted triggering due to noise on Vcc or ground, but also how the reset chip behaves, when noise arrives the chip! You remember the thread "How using a watchdog for my watchdog?"? This thread discussed the strange fact, that some reset chips tend to hang, when they are hit by certain kinds of noise. And just here the MAX1232 shows superior performance when compared to DS1232, ADM1232, etc. Noise immunity of reset chip is only very seldom specified in datasheet! And I think this is done intentionally by the manufacturers: I don't know how MAXIM does it, but their chip are better than the DS1232 for instance, and I would always use the MAXIM's part, just from experience.
