#119662 - Hysteresis
Responding to: ???'s previous message

The former is 20-bit, the latter 24-bit. Used with bridge sensors (load cells in my case), they require no additional components on the input that could significantly influence error,...

Yes, that's the key! Avoid additional analog components as much as you can, at least the avoidable ones affecting the offset and gain setting, and profit from sophisticated drift cancelling schemes on die!

One effect I have noticed with these converters is a cyclical, almost random, low frequency (typically 0.1Hz) span noise.

Are you sure that it's not from the load cell? Have experienced annoying hysteresis effects with load cells once. Hysteresis here means, that after adding and removing same extra weight reading shows a difference. Often a slowly creeping to the original reading could be observed afterwards, but not always reaching the original reading.
