#121347 - Cheap Small footprint 8051 compatible
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Dear All,

Thanks for the precious inputs.

Kai had understood the requirements clearly and has further narrated it in details. The frequency generation and input sensing has to be 'Intellingent' and hence Microcontroller is absolutely needed.

Atmel AT89S2051 is a good choice, but even then, it has 20 pins. In India, 89C2051 are available easily but not 'S' type. In 'C' type, as I understand, there is no PWM or other method of frequency generation at hardware level. Please let me know if I can get output frequency of timer2(or by any other way) on any pin as we can on pin1 of AT89C52 while using AT89C2051 or AT89S2051?

The suggestion of using Philips LPC series is also good, but I am not sure of the source in India. Some one more knowledgeable about the sourcing may please help.

With warm regards.

Mahesh Vyas.
