It seemed to me that he wanted to generate his 38 kHz without using any code or any pins. He did give the timer output pin as an example of what he didn't want to use.

I found that very confusing. It's easy to understand, otherwise, that he wants a constant background process to generate that 38 KHz, which does, in fact, sound familiar, e.g. with respect to the remote control codes for "proximity detection" or whatever, that he had asked about previously.

If he had searched, he'd have learned pretty quickly, how this is done. Instead, once again, he simply asked others to do his thinking, and his research, for him.
