I think the consensus of the thread is that trying to obtain power from RS232 is best avoided - therefore you should consider using USB instead of RS232. But I don not know which type of software should I have to use to debug the USB port as I use Hyper Terminal to debug Rs232 On pc side The simplest solution from this point-of-view would be to get something that comes complete with drivers that make it appear as a COM: Port on the PC. FTDI Chips certainly can do this, and I'm sure that some (most?) of the other add-on chips and micros with built-in USB can also do it... Some do it without even needing specific drivers. |
