As you might have known, I am not a electronics guy. Neither do I have any well informed electronics friends. All my working knowledge, my study material and my 8051 education comes from this site.

Most of the time non-exposure to working of any particular technology leaves the student with no knowledge of working paradigms. You have been extremely patient and described at length the problems with the kind of approach I was trying to take.
