Yes, these are NMOS, though the AMD parts are "HMOS." These are rated for 12 MHz, and were stock I bought in the early '80's or so.
The +5 line has about 50 mv of random noise but is at 5.020 volts according to my meter. (It's a ~20A supply.) Yes, they have the 8.2K resistor and 10 uf capacitor on the reset line. nEA is jumpered to GND. Since they're "new" old stock, I'd not jump to the conclusion that they're dead, as they've never been handled since they were purchased, i.e. they're in the original rails. Since the older Intel parts and the newer AMD parts behave in the same way, and the Intel parts came as samples from Intel, I suspect there's something else. I could be mistaken, of course ... ... any other ideas? RE |
