#130857 - You need to tell us more ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Why do you want to interface with the microcontroller, i.e. for what purpose?

What's wrong with using a program like HYPERTERMINAL? Why won't it do what you need? (assuming you're using Windows)

Don't listen to those guys who tell you that you shouldn't use DOS ... Windows is a piece of crap designed for people who are too lazy to read the directions.

DOS will do exactly what you tell it. If you know how to write the code (forget about high-level languages, e.g. Pascal, 'C', Basic, Cobol, ADA, etc.) for the PC, you'll have no trouble getting it do do exactly what you want.

It's likely that Hyperterminal will do what you need.
