The 8052 does not share.
A PC Program must share operation with other program. DOS allows you to play with any configuration register. Windows does not. This helps prevent the BSOD. Many crashes in windows are due to poorly written programs and drivers. so M$ got tired of taking the blame. They have enough issues of their own. |
