#132845 - The sole concern here is HEAT!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
There are a few versions of this chip mentioned there, which should I use?
The sole concern here is HEAT!, the cc generators are analog devices.

I would advice agains the 16 LED drivers if you expect to drive the LEDs with much more than 30mA each, unless you use the very minimum VLED. At my typical drive (20mA) they work quite well. Our competition had some rather unpleasant 'surprises' when they used 16'ers (not Allegro) for a while. a 16'er disappates, of course, twice as much heat as an 8'er.

Also, be careful with not having Vled too high, from the datsheet:
"These devices are designed to operate with driver voltage drops (VCE) of 0.7 to 3V, with an LED forward voltage, VF , of 1.2 to 4.0 V. If higher voltages are dropped across the driver, package power dissipation will increase significantly. To minimize package power dissipation, it is recommended to use the lowest possible load supply voltage, VLED,

And yes, my LEDs are all equal.
you are aware, I hope, that same partnumber does not mean 'equal'

Have fun,

Erik

PS there is NO WAY to make LEDs more even than with cc generators.
