#132855 - Checklist? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You are aware that baud rate is defined by initialising apropriate mC timers with desired values and in relation to clock?
Hm, you can quick-check the following: 1) Cable pinout (rx/tx) 2) Is mC actually transmitting anything? (logic probe on tx pin of mC and output of max232) 3) If mC is not transmitting -> mC software issue, persuade your mC to start transmitting something. 4) If mC is transmitting -> wrong baud rate, play with serial initialization. For example if your burden caps/crystal are interfering with normal oscilator cycle, you could get different clock frequency than those written on your crystal thus effectively changing your calculated baud rate to 'who knows what'. Best luck, CN |
